DESCRIPTION: A mirror finish solid brass surface, with a thin coating of clear beeswax for protection. The metal undergoes a lengthy hand polishing process to achieve this finish.

BRIDLE LEATHER: Joseph Giles uses only the finest quality bridle leather for their products, which is applied by highly skilled and experienced crafters in the United Kingdom. Bridle leather is both practical and beautiful. It differs from regular leather as both the flesh and grain sides of the cowhide are treated with greases and finished with wax, making the leather incredibly hardwearing, pliable, and smooth to the touch. Each leather item you receive from Joseph Giles has been stitched with meticulous attention to detail, with a quality that can be both seen and felt.

OVER TIME: This will begin as a bright highly polished finish. Over time, it will naturally patinate, darkening and dulling to develop its own individual character. The leather will age naturally over time developing its own individual character. Each piece will have varying levels of surface shine depending on the environment and usage.

APPLICATION: We recommend internal usage only for leather finishes, avoiding high humidity areas such as swimming pools and wet rooms.

CARE & MAINTENANCE:If your preference is to allow the piece to develop its own character, simply clean the metal component with a soft lint-free cloth and warm soapy water. If you want to preserve the original finish, clean the metal component with a good quality brass polish, and follow with a light application of beeswax.
