DESCRIPTION: A brushed finish on solid brass, with a thin coating of clear beeswax for protection. The metal undergoes a lengthy finishing process to achieve this look.

BRIDLE LEATHER: Joseph Giles uses only the finest quality bridle leather for their products, which is applied by highly skilled and experienced crafters in the United Kingdom. Bridle leather is both practical and beautiful. It differs from regular leather as both the flesh and grain sides of the cowhide are treated with greases and finished with wax, making the leather incredibly hardwearing, pliable, and smooth to the touch. Each leather item you receive from Joseph Giles has been stitched with meticulous attention to detail, with a quality that can be both seen and felt.

OVER TIME: This will begin as a light brushed finish. Over time, it will naturally patinate, darkening and dulling to develop its own individual character. This is a natural process; however, the rate of patination can be slowed by maintaining a light application of good quality beeswax. The leather will age naturally over time developing its own individual character. Each piece will have varying levels of surface shine depending on the environment and usage.

APPLICATION: We recommend internal usage only for leather finishes, avoiding high humidity areas such as swimming pools and wet rooms.

CARE & MAINTENANCE: Wipe clean with soft lint-free cloth. This finish is not compatible with chemical-based cleaners, soaps or abrasive materials. We recommend after cleaning; a coating of good quality beeswax is applied to the metal component.
