The new Architectural Hardware finishes from Joseph Giles are ceramic & ageless, meaning the appearance of the finish won't change over time. They have taken some of the most popular finishes and used a robust ceramic coating technology to preserve the original, hand-finished aesthetic.

Brushed Brass Ceramic

A classic brushed brass finish, with a clear ceramic finish to preserve the appearance and stop patination.

Unlike the Brushed Brass Waxed (BBW) finish, this ceramic coated version will be kept in its original state, just as it was when it was first hand-finished.

Mid Antique Brass Ceramic

The popular mid antique brass finish, with a clear ceramic coating to suspend the finish in time, preventing ageing and tarnishing.

This brushed brass has a hand applied antique effect treatment, which is then finished with a ceramic coating. To achieve this, the craftsmen apply a chemical treatment which adds a colourant. This process is undertaken several times to achieve the required depth of colour. The piece is hand polished and worked back to the metal to achieve an aged antique look, which is then sealed with the robust coating.

Unlike the signature Mid Antique Brass Waxed (MABW) finish, this ceramic coated version will be kept in its original state, just as it was when it was first hand-finished.

Soft Black Ceramic

A matte black colour ceramic coating, applied to solid brass, with exceptional durability and corrosion protection.

Hard wearing and suitable for most environments, this finish has a cool tone, is a perfect match for modern design schemes, and is a popular choice for kitchens and bathrooms. The metal undergoes a range of processes to achieve the finished look, finally sealed with a robust ceramic coating.

This ceramic coated soft black finish will neither wear or patinate, but will be kept in its original state, just as it was when it was first finished.
