Award-Winning Speargrass House

Speargass House from Sumich Chaplin Architects and Arent & Pyke is a luxurious Queenstown family home

Three hole wide-spread taps from the Callisto collection in Polished Nickel.

Designed by New Zealand architects, Sumich Chaplin with interiors by Sydney-based Arent & Pyke, this stunning project is a collaboration which has won acclaim on both sides of the Tasman. Nestled into the outlying hills of Queenstown, Speargrass House has been designed to reflect the strength of the terrain and the rawness of the elements while being accessible to the magnificent views of the mountains. The interiors complement the landscape with their natural beauty and materiality; a family home where boys can play.

BATHROOM

Award-winning Speargrass house bathroom with Polished Nickel wall-mounted tapware with three-holes and tubular spout

Each of the bathrooms in the home share detailing upon their walls of varying band widths, mingling with intricate tile arrangements. As a stack of travertine, glazed tiles and marble, the layers of texture convey a whisper soft sensuality enhanced by the gentle flicker of sunlight upon their surfaces.

A pair of wall mounted basin taps were specified from The English Tapware Company.  Our tapware is made to last. Each item is carefully designed and manufactured to the highest quality by Perrin & Rowe in England. Made from solid premium grade brass, they are extremely durable and will not rust or corrode. All plated finishes are electroplated with a coating which is a minimum of 20 microns to give many years of lustre.

Wall taps maximise the available bench space, allowing this family additional room to spread out and organise their bathroom essentials.

Perrin & Rowe Shower with hand-shower and pressure balanced mixer than means you won't get scalded by hot water unintentionally.

The Perrin & Rowe Contemporary Example Shower Layout C1C includes the handshower on sliding rail controlled by a pressure balanced shower mixer. Handshowers on sliding rails are ideal for a growing family, and excellent for easy cleaning around the shower box.

The pressure balanced shower mixer means a consistent flow even if taps are turned on and off elsewhere in the home.
