ANTIQUE BRASS

Antique brass is warm and rich, with a colour reminiscent of burnt butter. A versatile finish with an organic quality, antique brass pairs beautifully with the hues found in timber and natural stone. These bronze finishes have been developed to replicate the rich, time-worn patina that would naturally evolve over years of use. Each piece begins with a deep tone that is then carefully eased back by hand, creating subtle variations and a unique character to every component.

As a hand-finished product, natural inconsistencies and tonal differences are to be expected — and celebrated — as part of the intended aesthetic. The finish is protected with a hand-applied wax which will require occasional reapplication to maintain both the look and protection.

INSTALLATION

These finishes are sensitive to harsh treatment during installation. Ensure that clean hands or gloves are used, and avoid contact with silicone, strong detergents, or harsh cleaning products. If the fitting is installed prior to project completion, cover and protect the surface from paint, plaster, or other construction debris.

CARE & MAINTENANCE

For routine cleaning, use only a neutral liquid soap with warm water applied gently with a soft cloth. Avoid scouring pads or chemical cleaners as these may strip the wax seal or disturb the hand-applied patina.

Do not use metal polishes or abrasive agents. These finishes are intentionally aged and sealed — polishing will alter their appearance and remove the protective wax layer.

To preserve and protect the finish, apply a thin coat of clear wax twice a year. This helps maintain the richness of tone and slows down the natural oxidation process.

FINISH WARRANTY

As these are living, hand-finished surfaces with a wax coating rather than a permanent lacquer, no finish warranty is provided. Variations in tone and signs of wear are a normal and desirable part of the ageing process.
